About

Welcome to Internet Pulpit - the information website on Biblical issues

Whether you are a doubter, a struggling believer or a committed Christian there is something here to help you grow! Some articles are written to inspire, some to encourage and where appropriate some to challenge! The underlying purpose behind them all however is to help the reader come to know the Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour and very Best Friend.

The information provided on this website will also be very useful to those who have done some form of Christian Basics course such as Alpha. It will help to deepen their faith and answer questions that may have been raised during such a course but may not have been satisfactorily answered due to a lack of time.

Internet Pulpit also aims to fulfil the needs identified by a nationwide church survey.

It aims to provide a treasure trove of Biblical material which is topical, thought provoking and easy to understand. All contributors to this site recognize the authority of Scripture as being the inerrant Word of God and seek to provide light for these dark days. New articles, features and information are being added on a regular basis.

If you find this website useful please pass it on to others who you feel would benefit from its contents.

Much of the material provided is also suitable for use in Bible study groups, church magazines and sermons.

All those who contribute articles to this website uphold the doctrines and moral values of the Christian faith as traditionally taught and understood by the mainstream churches of the UK and Ireland ( Church of England, Church of Ireland, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, United Reformed Church) etc..

Below is a brief summary of our belief.

Scripture

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith, teaching and conduct.

Almighty God

The Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons; God the Father; God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Our Lord Jesus Christ

Scripture clearly teaches the true and full deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth as well as His complete humanity through the incarnation. It teaches about His sinless life, His authoritative message, His atoning sacrifice on the cross and His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father. It further teaches us that He will personally return again to this earth in His glory as King and Judge of all mankind.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead who proceeds from the Father and the Son. Among other things His work is to help believers in their day to day lives, teaching and guiding them and enabling them to produce fruit.

The Human Race

Scripture teaches that human nature is in a fallen state. It further teaches, however that salvation is available to all upon their repentance and subsequent faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
